Aiff: Morgan Packard (Anticipate, Brooklyn/NY)
Tiff: Jan Lindenberg (System Performance, Berlin)
Graphics and sound collide at Aiff.Tiff-nights in a different way. Here you'll witness the production of the new flyer for next month's show in realtime. From the first sketches to the finally printed version you can have a look over the shoulders of some of Berlin's finest visual and graphic artists. Our projection will deliver you every step the designer takes - either with pen or mouse. The flyerjockey of the night is also responsible for the invitation of musicians and djs who perform to their work...
Mayday tolls the bell for Aiff.Tiff, as this is the final issue of the series. No worries - as always, there will be a flyer produced and printed out for you to take home. This time it will come from Berlin's own Jan Lindenberg, conceptual communications designer with a fresh eco edge. Musical support will be provided by Morgan Packard, dropping in on his tour from New York with a live presentation of his latest material. And by Tiffy and Aiffy, hosts of the night, saying hello and waving goodbye one more time.
The exhibition of the first two years of Aiff.Tiff flyers is collected in a folder which you can check at the bar; it will be completed after this night and will be made available for download after the upcoming night. Or feel free to check out the new issue of bangbangberlin magazine, which runs a short feature on the series, and also offers a glimpse at all flyers up to march.
An unconventional, experimental event in Berlin - where 4 different Swedish groups will join forces in the making of a unique journey - where only fantasy sets the limits.
We can present for you the artist group MusicalFieldsForever created by Fredrik Olofsson, Anders-Petter Andersson and Birgitta Cappelen. The members have diverse artistic backgrounds within music, industrial design, interaction design, but share the use of Networking models and the Computer as their major working tool. The project is to explore new forms expression in interactive media by creating open, audio-tactile art installations. They call their installations musical fields.
Nije is created by Niels Vaernö and Jens Regler, they are experimenting with strange and exciting combinations of light, movement and music. Creating thrilling soundscapes, by playing their amazing, homemade toys - HoverGloves, HoverOrb and HoverDress.
Neurobash is a creative constellation that currently consists of two steady members and several collaborating artists. Delivering energy, especially live, is very important for the constellation, but also to stir things up in the listeners’ neural pathways, simply by taking on subjects that need to be brought up. During this event Neurobash is proud to present David Yanagisawa and his colourful Toncolarium!
Aron Fleming-Falk, Lukas Nystrand and Mats Björk are members in the band Apostleship of Noise - And out of the ordinary! They are with their performance going to lead you on a crusade into the mysterious world of ravaging raw sounds you will never forget.
